Joy Svasti-Salee CTA, FCA
Joy Svasti-Salee is an international tax strategist with extensive practical experience of advising multinational groups (with parent companies located in the UK, US, and elsewhere) on their international tax affairs. In 2004, whilst continuing to advise in practice, Joy became a visiting professorial fellow at Queen Mary University of London and has taken on responsibility for leading and lecturing on the International Tax Law course of the intercollegiate LLM Programme. Joy is a member of the International Tax Sub Committee of the UK Institute of Taxation, and of the UK branch of the International Fiscal Association. Joy was UK Head of International Tax at KMPG and is currently Client Services Director at Grant Thornton. [Additional Information]
Research Interests
Joy’s main interests lie in how policy and practice in tax has developed and what that might mean for the future of international tax law. She is currently acting as joint UK tax reporter for the International Fiscal Association on a topic for 2007 being “Conflicts in the Attribution of Income to a Person”.
