Angie Raymond is a Lecturer in International Commercial Law at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies. She lectures on the University of London’s traditional LLM courses in International Trade Law, International Commercial Litigation and International and Comparative Commercial Arbitration as well as teaching distance learning courses in International Trade Law. In addition, Angie lectures at Pace Law School’s Semester in London in International Commercial Transactions. In 2006, she coached the Queen Mary team that claimed first place overall at the 13th Willem C. Vis Arbitral Moot in Vienna, which is the larget moot court competition in the area of international commercial law
Before coming to the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Angie worked as the research assistant to the United States delegate to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and the Reporter for the revisions of the sales and leases articles of the United States’ Uniform Commercial Code as well as the chair of the revision committee to revise Article 7 (Documents of Title). During her time at Loyola Law School she was Articles Editor for the Loyola Law Review, active in the Thomas More Inn of Court, a finalist at the Regional Competition for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and a finalist in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
Research Interests
Angie is currently co-author of the forthcoming book on Electronic Commerce and will shortly be completing her Ph.D. on Secured Transactions. She has published articles and book chapters on international commercial arbitration, international commercial comparative law and electronic commerce. Her current research interests include international commercial law, international and domestic contracts, international commercial finance, electronic commerce and international commercial arbitration.
