Michael Blakeney BA, LLM (Sydney), MA (NSW)
Michael Blakeney is Herchel Smith Professor of Intellectual Property Law at Queen Mary, University of London. He has held academic positions at a number of Universities in Australia and the UK and formerly worked in the Asia Pacific Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization. His consultancy work has been in the fields off access to genetic resources and biotechnological patenting. He has had advised the FAO, and the international agricultural research centres of the Consulting Group for International Agricultural Research, including the International Rice Research Institute, International Centre for Living Resource Management, the Centre for International Forestry Research, the International Livestock Research Institute and the International Service for National Agricultural Research on intellectual property management. Michael is a member of the Editorial Boards of International Trade Law and Regulation, Digital Technology Law Journal and Cyberspazio e Diritto - Cyberspace and Law.
