Online Courses in Commercial Law
CCLS now offers students the opportunity to study by distance learning. Three subjects are available.
LLM and Postgraduate Diploma in Computer and Communications Law by Distance Learning
The Centre for Commercial Law Studies offers a distinctive online distance-learning LLM and Postgraduate Diploma in Computer and Commercial Law, drawing on the established strengths of CCLS in computer and e-Commerce law and associated topics within the Information Technology Law Unit. The programme has been developed in response to strong market demand from legal practitioners around the world for access to the Information Technology Law Unit expertise by distance learning. It will be delivered primarily online via the WebCT teaching platform.

Postgraduate Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration by Distance Learning
The Centre for Commercial Law Studies offers the first Europe-based Postgraduate Distance Learning Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration with online support. Teaching operates via an interactive online platform and the circulation of CDs and other tangible media. The online diploma is aimed, in particular, at practising lawyers, barristers, solicitors, in-house lawyers who cannot attend classes in London. Some students have no law background but have arbitration experience, typically engineers, surveyors or accountants. The diploma course attracts annually some 25 students worldwide. For example, in its first two years the online programme attracted students based in Australia, Belgium, England, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Palestine, Portugal, Scotland, Serbia and Montenegro, Singapore, Uganda, the United Arab Emirates, and the USA.

Postgraduate Diploma in International Mediation by Distance Learning
The Postgraduate Diploma in International Mediation (DipIM-ADR) is dedicated to providing a course with a strong focus on mediation and conciliation. The Diploma will not only provide an understanding of the theoretical, practical and ethical problems relating to international mediation, but will also provide a stepping stone to more professionals becoming involved in international ADR.
